All the Bresser Plossl range of eyepieces provide sharp and high contrast images due to their 4 element design. All lenses have fully multicoated surfaces which helps to prevent internal reflections. Every eyepiece is equipped with a foldable rubber eyecup to avoid stray light from the sides and the inner eyepiece shaft is carefully blackened. Housing and eyepiece shaft are completely made from metal, no plastic is used. Filter thread for use with colour and light pollution filters. Plossl eyepieces offer a much better image quality than the very simply made Kellner and Huygens eyepieces that are often provided with beginners telescopes, making this eyepiece an ideal low cost upgrade.
